DOD/DVA Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution Program

EXP Response to DSCP Contract -

August 4, 2008 marked the day when Task Orders may be submitted regarding the Option Year 1 for the DOD/DVA Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution Program. The initial contract year ended with EXP Pharmaceutical Services proudly being selected by more than 50% of all covered facilities worldwide. EXP DOD/DVA customers have found EXP’s returns program to be the most comprehensive and accountable system available in the marketplace today.

New sweeping enhancements to the EXP web site, reporting capabilities, DMLSS and VistA Track & Trace and EXP’s worldwide service team have positioned EXP to be the vendor of choice for even more facilities worldwide. While some other returns companies have spent the year shrinking their on-site service staffs, moving customers to mail-in service and negotiating with third party vendors for returns processing, EXP has been strengthening our commitment and resources dedicated to the highest level of service.

New Management Reports from our Data Delivery Portal and expanding the EXP Field Force are two critical components but the enhanced DMLSS and VistA Track & Trace system have become essential to the progressive management of pharmaceutical returns for the DOD/DVA facilities and therefore of prime importance to EXP. We invite you to validate the growing list of features, benefits and results with your EXP representative as well as review a comprehensive list of EXP’s DOD/DVA references. EXP is privileged to lead the way in pharmaceutical reverse distribution for the benefit of our DSCP contracted customers.

NOTICE FROM DSCP -

OPTION YEAR 1 for
Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution
Program Generation II

The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) offers national contracts for the purpose of returning pharmaceuticals and medical supplies dispensed by the Pharmacy and any related waste materials that may arise due to un-returnable pharmaceuticals. The contracts represent the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) joint contracting initiative with the purpose of making multiple awards for CONUS and OCONUS return services. With regards to OCONUS Controlled Substance materials, Schedule II thru V, are not authorized to be returned from overseas.

All contracts have a base ordering period of 12 months, with four term options of 12 months each, with a potential maximum contract term of 60 months or five years.

All DoD and DVA customers are required to sign a task order agreement for selection of their reverse distributor contractor for each annual ordering period. After signature, this task order agreement must be sent to the DoD or DVA contracting officer for their signature. The contracting officers will fax to the selected contractor. No Reverse Distribution Contractor shall provide services without a task order agreement signed by the customer and the responsible contracting officer. All DoD and DVA customers are only authorized one selection per ordering period.

EXP proudly presented its initial contract year DoD/DVA customers with our own unique challenge coin. This 50mm Merlingold/brass coin minted by Northwest Territorial Mint in Auburn, Washington, is a prize possession on its own as well as a valued addition to any challenge coin collection.

We are in the process of designing the Option Year 1 2008 coin and look forward to once again presenting this keepsake to all of our DoD customers.
