EXP SUPPORTS MILITARY VETERANS THROUGH FISHER HOUSE
"One of the best days in my 10 years with EXP!” is how Nadine You, Vice President, Corporate Operations, described August 1, 2007. “I have never been more proud to be a part of EXP Pharmaceutical Services Corp.”
The reason for You’s enthusiasm and pride was the opportunity she had to represent all of EXP in presenting a check and a commitment to Fisher House in Palo Alto, CA.
Fisher House is a national charitable organization whose purpose is to provide free temporary housing for families of military veterans who are undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in service to their country. Fisher Houses are strategically located near Veterans Hospitals and offer services accommodating families to stay anywhere from 3 to 90 days while their loved one is undergoing treatment. With 36 houses in existence and another 7 houses currently under design and construction, Fisher House has an aggressive agenda and a tremendous vision. These facilities which may house up to 21 families each are located throughout the United States.
“We have been looking for a place to invest ourselves,” stated Gus Changaris, President & CEO of EXP, “We were introduced to Fisher House about 3 months ago, and we immediately knew this was the right place for us.”
EXP is a reverse distributor of unwanted pharmaceutical products located in Fremont, CA. They are the first and only reverse distributor to publicly support a charity of this type, and the journey is just beginning. EXP plans to organize several employee and community events as well as a challenge to their business partners and customers to join with them in support of military veterans through Fisher House.

EXP SUPPORTS TROOPS OVERSEAS WITH CARE PACKAGE PROGRAM
EXP Pharmaceutical Services Corp. provides pharmaceutical returns services to nearly 65% of all US hospitals and now, since the release of the new DOD/DVA contract in late 2007, provides pharmaceutical returns services for 50% of all Federal Government facilities.
But that’s not all! The blending of these two successes now comes together for a new project undertaken by the EXP employees. A collection container has been set up at the EXP Central Processing Facility in Fremont, CA, and a contribution program has been established for our nationwide field personnel. These opportunities have allowed the EXP employees to contribute to the EXP Care Package Program.
The collected money was used for a shipment of DVD's, Play Station and X-Box games, cookies and various non-perishable items sent to the men and women currently being treated in military hospitals in Iraq. Through the Chief of Medical Logistics, these supplies will be received in early May.
Captain Scott Miller states, “Other than the obvious medical treatment necessary, boredom and limited contact back home is a challenge. These types of gifts are a real treat for these troops and bring smiles to many faces.”
Larry Peterson, Director of Government Accounts for EXP said,“I am really proud of the EXP community to do something like this. Not only did we help the wounded soldiers, we also sent some goodies to the medical treatment staff who are working 12 hour days, 7 days a week. One item we sent to several of them was the newly-minted EXP Customer Challenge Coin, just to say thank you for your service.”
The contributions of the many EXP employees were matched with a contribution from EXP corporate. While this is the first EXP Care Package sent, it will not be the last. Plans are already underway for another.
It was a surprise to all of us, when some, including our vendors, who had heard about this program asked how they could get involved. If you would like to contribute, send an email to carepackage@expworld.com
